bbq chicken pizza

"Hey, Ji. This pizza was like, real dope."

That's what the big brother said after he finished eating this.

And, it was dope.

Like for real.

Remember when I said that If I were to ever have a bakery or eatery or something, I would definitely always sell my lemon crinkle cookies?

Well, this BBQ Chicken Pizza would also ALWAYS be on that menu to sell as well.

Fricking delicious it was. And dope.

And that's all I have to say about that. =)

BBQ Chicken Pizza

  • Thin crust  pizza dough
  • Favorite BBQ sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Gouda cheese
  • Cilantro chopped
  • Diced cooked chicken
  • Sliced red onions
  • About 2 or 3 tablespoons of oil for frying
1.Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Coat your chicken with about 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce. Set aside.

2. In a skillet, heat oil and when hot pan fry each side of pizza dough for about a minute per side. When  golden brown, looking kind of like a flat-bread, take off of fire. (You can also of course bake the pizza in a normal way, but this is one of my favorite ways of doing it.)

3. Take fried dough and spread on a thin layer of BBQ sauce. Follow it up with a layer of mozzarella, chicken, red onions, and gouda cheese. Use how little or how much you'd like.

4. Bake for about 9 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and melty. Immediately throw on chopped cilantro and serve immediately and enjoy!

Stuffed Crust Pepperoni Pizza

Mmmm! Homemade pizza. Fresh cheese, fresh sauce, fresh toppings. So good.

I knew I wanted to make pizza this week and even contemplated MAKING MY OWN DOUGH.

I then thought about it and realized, eh---I’d rather buy dough. I don’t have time to knead stuff and watch it rise.

I went to a local pizzeria by my house to purchase their homemade dough. They were kind of confused and didn’t know what to charge me, so we settled on $5.00.

It was funny.

I could have gotten regular freezer dough from the supermarket—but I thought my method would be more fun.

It was.

Anyways, I bought the dough, made the sauce, got some toppings, and went to work.

Being as obsessed with cheese as I am, I had to make a stuffed crust pizza. It was a must.

This involved placing a circular ring of mozzarella string cheese around the entire pizza and then folding the crust over it. Yea, boi.

I topped the pie with fresh mozzarella, basil, pepperoni, and then sprinkled it with a blend of parmesan, romano, and asiago cheeses.
This crust is STUFFED with cheese.
15 minutes later the pizza was cooked to perfection. Really tasty!

I cooked it in a pizza pan, but next time I make a pizza I’m going to get a pizza stone so I could lay it directly in the oven. I think it would give it a crispier crust next time around?

I like crispy crusts.

And cheese. :)
The pizza tasted incredibly fresh.

**I didn't use a recipe for the pizza--I just threw the toppings that I wanted on and baked at 500 degrees F for 15 minutes, or until the crust is brown and crisp and the cheese is bubbling.
